Bead Flowers – forum gallery stitching card of the week

This week’s card is called Bead Flowers and was made by Suemcmanus. This classy card was made using the Stitching Cards Bead Flower 9 pattern.

The concept of using green and gold thread with green and gold beads on a green background gives the card a sophisticated look. The gold “Best Wishes” greeting does not show well on the picture because it is picking up some of the background colour. However, I am sure it does show well on the actual card.

Kat said: “I used gold metallic DMC thread on blue card and then put the finished blue card onto a white one. I added gold edging, a couple of gold hearts and gold lettering, and brushed gold eye shadow inside the roses”.

Capricorn said: “I made this card for my dear brother and sister-in-law. For the stitched names I used font 340 from Stitching Cards. The gold thread I used is very sparkley and glistens under the light but it doesn’t show on the scanned picture”.
