Wedding Hearts – forum gallery stitching card of the week

This week’s card is called Wedding Hearts and was made by Pam Zimmerman. This beautiful card was made using Form-A-Lines Wedding Hearts Pattern.

Pam Zimmerman said “DMC metallic gold and green thread was used. I used beads for the flowers. Satin paper was used to stitch the pattern mounted on a gold background”.

Christmas bauble – forum gallery stitching card of the week

This week’s card is called Christmas bauble and was made by Eileen. This attractive card was made using Free Forum-A-Lines Christmas bauble pattern.

This was the first card entered in the Form-A-Lines forum September/October card making challenge. The cards should be based on the free bauble pattern and can be customised in any way the card maker chooses.

I asked Eileen about the gold stripes and she said “They were a bit of a mistake that turned out OK. After stitching I stamped the snowmen and Santa onto two strips of white card edged with a gold Krylon pen. I then decided to fill in the rest with red stickles but didn’t like the red, so dumped some fine gold glitter over the lot while it was still wet. It ended up looking like ruffled ribbon”…

100th birthday Easel – forum gallery stitching card of the week

This week’s card is called 100th birthday Easel and was made by Katharine. This imposing card was made using Pinbroidery number patterns.

Katharine said “I used the top of the 0 for the trim on the base, reversing one of them. I stitched in double thread to make it easier for elderly eyes to see it, also used the pearl paper to fill in the numerals for the same reason”.

Bird Bath – forum gallery stitching card of the week

TeaDrinker said “It was made with blue, brown, gold, green, antique silver and variegated metallic threads. I decided to colour it in with coloured pencils. It was stitched on a shimmering white card, and mounted onto green, then brown stock card. I added peel-offs”.
