Christmas maths projects at the String Art Fun website

Primary school teachers looking for a fun maths project for the Christmas term will find it at the String Art Fun website. The string art maths projects are suitable for Key Stage 2 Maths (8 – 11 years old). They include numbered patterns and maths questions sheets.

Designs can be created with pencils and ruler or drawing pins (thumb tacks) and string / wool.

There is a free maths project featuring a Christmas pudding with holly.

There are also some maths projects to buy featuring a bauble, bells, candles, a crown, a star and a fir tree. The projects are available individually and in a value pack of six designs.

Thinking of you – forum gallery stitching card of the week

Dutchess said: “I decided to make a ‘thinking of you’ card and use one of my favourite Stitching cards patterns ‘Basket of Flowers’. I tried to keep the colours quite muted due to the use of the card.”

It is stitched onto a rectangle of white card with rounded corners decorated with a punch.
A larger rectangle of decorative paper is mounted on a blank greeting card.
The stitched rectangle is mounted on this to form a border.
The words and gold borders are added with peel-off stickers.

Sefer Torah pattern added at Stitching Cards

A Sefer Torah pattern has been added to the Stitching Cards collection.

The Sefer Torah scroll contains the five books of Moses hand written on parchment. It is the holiest of all books of Jewish Tanach. It would make a beautiful card for Bar Mitzvah.

The pattern size is 152 mm x 104 mm (6 x 4½ inches).
